1x/Week In-Person Training
We’ll meet in person at least once each week for hands-on support, technique work, and accountability.
Independent Weekly Training
Clients complete at least one additional weekly workout on their own to build momentum and reinforce progress.
Custom Programming + App Support
You’ll follow a custom training program, with workouts, tracking, and ongoing support through a mobile app.

I’m Maya Lin Sugarman (she/they), a strength coach and powerlifter who helps clients build strength with confidence. My coaching combines technical knowledge with individualized support. I aim to make strength training feel approachable and sustainable.
I specialize in barbell technique and powerlifting basics (squat, bench press, and deadlift). I work especially well with hypermobile clients and people who are new to lifting. My sessions focus on thoughtful exercise selection, clear cueing, and long-term progress.
I believe strength training should help you feel more capable, in and out of the gym. My goal is to give you personalized guidance that helps you better understand your body. My coaching meets you where you are and challenges you to grow.

Not at all. I work especially well with beginners, including people who are new to strength training or feel intimidated by weights. My coaching is designed to make lifting feel approachable, clear, and sustainable.

Clients work with me in person at least once per week. I also expect clients to complete at least one additional strength workout on their own each week using their customized program.

Coaching includes in-person sessions, a customized training program, and ongoing support through a mobile app where you can view workouts, track progress, and stay organized between sessions.

Training sessions and consultations take place at Everybody Los Angeles. Free parking is available onsite or across the street at Rio de Los Angeles State Park.

Your first visit to the gym is free. After that, non-members can purchase a $15 day pass. If you’re interested in becoming a member, you can learn more through Everybody Los Angeles.

The initial session is $55, and single sessions are $140. Session packages are available with rates starting at $120 per session. View pricing.
