"I got on my bike to save my life"

Six years ago, Carlos Morales weighed 400 pounds. His doctors told him they’d done everything they could to keep him alive. After having gastric bypass surgery in 2008, Morales began cycling and co-founded the Eastside Bike Club. Now, the 54-year-old owns a bike shop in Monrovia and credits the bicycle for saving his life.
